WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
S.A.A.V.E. MODEL
The training you will receive is based on our S.A.A.V.E. (Strategic Actions Against Violence Everywhere) Model. This will ensure you are able to take appropriate action when confronted with an ACTIVE SHOOTER event no matter where you are at.
CLASSROOM TRAINING
The classroom training consists of a PowerPoint presentation, video presentation, and discussion. These presentations will cover a variety of topics including, learning from prior active shooter events, actions to take when confronted with an active shooter, pre-attack indicators of an active shooter, how to use improvised weapons, and more.
RUN - HIDE - FIGHT - SWARM
One critical portion of our training is the RUN-HIDE-FIGHT-SWARM component. Each participant will learn the necessity of having a plan before they leave their home and know how to effectively RUN-HIDE-FIGHT-SWARM if necessary. This is not about being paranoid - it is about being prepared!!
THREAT ASSESSMENT
Whether you are a business, church, school, or community group, Lives Worth Saving will complete a thorough and comprehensive Threat Assessment to ensure your location is as safe as possible. We will make recommendations on how to "HARDEN" your location before an event takes place while ensuring those at your location have a clearly defined exit plan should an event occur.
EMERGENCY ACTION PLAN
Lives Worth Saving will prepare a written policy for your team outlining the necessary steps for an active shooter event. This written policy should be kept with other policies that outline what to do in case of an emergency. If you already have a written policy on earthquakes, fire drills, dealing with the media, etc., this written policy should be included with those as well.
